High Pristess Valestra Duskwhisper:

Valesta Duskwhisper fled the Promenade of Eiliestraee in Waterdeep when she discovered that the High Priestess there, Mirriam DeVir, was a vampire and a follower of Shar. Though she was able to rescue a few of the younger followers, some priestesses at the Promenade were unknowingly twisted by DeVir’s teachings, leaving scars in the faith that the Moonlit Cloisters now seeks to mend.

Valestra’s leadership is revered and deeply trusted—her past escape from the Promenade means she is cautious but willing to give newcomers a chance. She seems to have a keen insight, perhaps from Eiliestraee Herself, of who is a true devotee and who only seeks to cause trouble.

Valestra’s continued reign as High Priestess provides stability, but she is always preparing for the next challenge—she does not believe that DeVir plots from the shadows, as DeVir does not know that it was Valestra who started the temple. She is, however, ever vigilant of the time when DeVir will inevitably find out, and cautions Eiliestreaan visitors from Waterdeep to not mention her name to DeVir. Most visitors from the Promenade end up staying at the Cloisters anyway because of the true presence of Eiliestraee that they feel in the Cloisters.
