Moonlit Cloisters, Baldur's Gate
The Moonlit Cloisters is a temple to Eiliestraee in Baldur's Gate. Founded in 1405 DR, some say that it is an offshoot of the Promenade of Eiliestraee. The truth is that the founder, Velastra Duskwhisper, fled the Promenade with several acolytes and priestesses when she discovered that the High Priestess of the Promenade, Mirriam DeVir, was a vampire worshipper of Shar who was using her position to corrupt the young and impressionable Eiliestraeeans under her tutelage. Dark LadyDuskwhisper did not let on that she knew about DeVir before she left, saying only that she wished to spread Eiliestraee's light to the people of Baldur's Gate.
She arrived in Baldur's Gate with just enough coin to purchase an old, abandoned Inn. She and the acolytes worked odd jobs, creating holy water, spell scrolls, and other items that adventurers or other clergy might use. Eventually they earned enough to slowly rebuild the Inn and turn it into their temple. There is still a main common area, but what was once a bawdy tavern is now a dance hall and sanctuary. The large fireplace is the backdrop for the altar, the stairs to the lower-cost private rooms now lead to offices and private chapels.
The side hallways on the left lead to guest chambers, while the hallway to the right leads to the residential quarters. The front opens up to the street, the back leads to an orchard that in turn leads to the edge of the forest.

History
Previously a Tavern/Inn that fell into disrepair over the decades due to its reputation, it was bought by refugees from the Prominade of the Dark Lady in Waterdeep after they discovered dark secrets about the high priestess there.
Now it serves as the open temple to Eiliestraee in Baldur's Gate, as well as a place of rest for travelers.
Tourism
The temple also serves as an Inn for those who wish for someplace quiet and reflective to stay.
Every full moon, non-Eilistraeeans are invited to witness the temple's joint Evensong.
