Markus is a fourteen year old Half-Orc that works as an intern Guild Clerk at the Havenport Adventurers Guild.
Born to a human Adventurer mother and an Orc warrior, he is somewhat ostracised in the city of Havenport due to his heritage.
Markus does not let this stop him, though, doing odds jobs around the Guild between learning how to read and write and do math.
His mother died on a job when Markus was only four, leaving him to be cared for by his elderly human grandmother, who he now cares for in turn.

Personal history
Markus was born to a human mother and Orc father, his mother having fallen in love with the warrior during a job that took her to the Dragon Blood Desert for over a year. She returned to Havenport with the infant Half-Orc on her hip, and was quickly disowned by most of her family, except her own mother, both of them moving to Weaver's Sprawl.
Markus was always seen as an outsider by the other children of the Sprawl, even the other outcasts, and so had few friends, if any, growing up. Instead, he spent most of his time at the Havenport Adventurers Guild, where he was picked up by Enyra Lhunman, one of the Guild Clerks. He has been learning to read and write, as well as do maths since, a task which has proven difficult for the young man, but that he has thrown himself into all the same, hoping to one day become a Guild Clerk himself.

Markus is currently being taught how to read, write and do maths by Enyra Lhunman.
Employment
He is currently an Intern Clerk at the Adventurers Guild.
Accomplishments & Achievements
He learned how to spell and write his name at age ten, an accomplishment for the not very bright young man.
