Awakening on Invi'dyah

The Palace Botanical was home to many a treasure, some useful universally, others more niche in their audience.   Among the many vessels constructing the hulk, one of interest to the slumbering tomb world at the center of Stradus. A now regular collage of military activity from most walks of galactic life.   Mortation's Sons had been spread thin over Stradus, believing their arrival to be far sooner than they intended. Easy pickings before their actual target entered the system. The reality of the matter a stark contrast.   Between the hidden imperial and Xenos forces already encountered, a far more ancient and sinister presence stirred below the surface of Invi'dyah.     The Praetorian sensors had been malfunctioning for the past 10 minutes, though the muddy drone of the functioning speakers a gurgled klaxon screeched each second into its own eternity.   All the Plague-casters dealt with this uniquely, some not having ears barely noticed, others were assisted by the frolicking nurglings to continue their rituals.   They had all failed to notice the small protrusions just egging out of the sand, approaching steadily and slowly rising. The sand barely reacting to the 40 Necron warriors as they slowly rose out of the sands.   A hail of crackling energy shook the concentration of the remaining groups of Plague-casters. They seemed to be a group short.   The smoldering bio pile covering the advance as the Praetorian force readied positions. Two Princes and the Great Unclean One Uc'thuthist, Chittering Plagueweaver had been brought forth from the Nurgles garden, and lurked in one of the nearby residential rooftops. The Unit of Praetorian Plague Marines readied themselves as the now completed reveled Necron Force silently advanced.
