Olaf Sørensen

Olaf Sørensen- one of the kindest souls this side of the Matterhorn. Known for taking the unfortunate and prosecuted under his wing, no matter the consequences, Olaf is a beloved figure in the adventuring community. Seen as a brother by Dwarves, cherished by Humans and given respect very few are granted by the Dragonborn it seems no one can bring themselves to hate Olaf Sørensen- except, of course, King Magnus. The Lord of the Matterhorn isn't particularity fond of Olaf's rebellious streaks and affinity for housing those the King sees as a threat

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Olaf is healthy, if not a little plump from years behind a bar. He has no life threatening diseases and usually doesn't get sick due top his Dwarven fortitude.

Body Features

Olaf has fair skin, thick and hardened from years of a Dwarven life. His hair is course and rough. He was thick, strong fingers and beefy, Dwarven muscle.

Facial Features

His brow is low and pronounced, punctuated by enormous, bushy eyebrows. Olaf's nose has obviously been broken more then a couple times, and his chin is cleft, with a scar running up the left side to his cheek. His otherwise stoic features are softened by his round, warm brown eyes that sparkle with kindness.

Personal history

Born to the mighty Axefather House, Olaf spent much of his childhood in luxury, until the day Bhaal the Bloodthirsty overran his families mountain, banishing them out into the tundra. He grew up on the road and watched as his house split into clans that split into even smaller families. Eventually he decided to make his own path and left, soon finding the town of Matterhild, becoming one of it's first residents. It was years later he saw one of the kings guard slaughtering an innocent Dragonborn trader. Shook to his core by this terrible event, he founded The Wailing Wight to give home to people Magnus would seek to kill

Education

At a young age Olaf received standard Dwarven battle training, although his skills are rarely needed. He is also a self taught master at brewing ale and mead.

Employment

Olaf was thrown out of the mountain with his people before he could secure a Dwarven job. While wandering he took odd jobs and whatever quests he could find to afford food, drink and shelter. He found a passion in brewing, slowly improving his craft alone through his patience and resistance to poison. Olaf currently finds stable income at his tavern, The Wailing Wight

Like most Dwarf, Olaf can read, write and speak both Common and Dwarvish, but knows a slathering of other words in many languages due to the amount of adventurers that enter his inn. He can speak rudimentary Draconic.

Amongst the calloused warriors of Stormheim, Olaf is a relaxing sight. This kindhearted man will help any soul who enters his inn.
