Raxxian Stratocracy

The Raxxian Stratocracy is a minor yet formidable faction that governs the star systems of Raxx and Iridonia. Rooted deeply in the martial traditions of the Raxxian species, this militarized state enjoys overwhelming support among the Raxxians of its homeworld. Its governance, structured around rigid discipline and collective duty, is an extension of the Raxxian way of life—a society where service and order define every aspect of existence. Despite its relatively small size, the Raxxian Stratocracy commands respect as a disciplined and self-sufficient military power. Its people are united under a single purpose: the preservation of their culture, security, and independence. While many galactic factions struggle with internal division, the Raxxians remain steadfast

Structure

The Raxxian Stratocracy is a highly centralized military government where authority is vested in a council of High Commanders, each responsible for different aspects of governance, including military strategy, infrastructure, and foreign affairs. Beneath them, Commanders lead individual clans, serving as both military officers and civic leaders. The administrative framework of the Stratocracy is designed for efficiency, ensuring that every decision aligns with the state's security and strategic goals. Civilian roles often overlap with military service, reinforcing the idea that every Raxxian contributes to the nation’s strength.

History

The Raxxians' history is one of both subjugation and triumph. Once considered second-rate citizens under human rule, they leveraged their combat prowess to earn respect and, eventually, autonomy. During the empire’s decline into civil war, Raxxians served as loyal retainers, mercenaries, and elite warriors. However, as the empire collapsed, they saw an opportunity to reclaim their homeworld and assert true sovereignty.   Through superior strategic acumen and unwavering discipline, the Raxxians secured independence and forged the Stratocracy—a government that mirrors their values of duty, resilience, and order. Now, with control over the Raxx and Iridonia systems, the Raxxian Stratocracy stands as a testament to their indomitable will.

Territories

The Raxxian Stratocracy controls two star systems: Raxx and Iridonia.   Raxx, the Raxxian homeworld, is a fortress-like planet with vast training grounds, military academies, and heavily fortified cities. It serves as the heart of the Stratocracy, where governance, training, and industry are all interwoven into a single war-driven machine.   Iridonia, though not originally a Raxxian world, was annexed as part of their strategic expansion. It serves as a resource hub, supplying raw materials for the Stratocracy’s military-industrial complex.

Military

The Raxxian Armed Forces form the core of the Stratocracy’s power. The military is divided into:
Legions: Elite ground forces trained from birth, specializing in both conventional and guerrilla warfare.
Fleet Command: A space force responsible for patrolling and defending the Stratocracy’s borders, maintaining strict vigilance over potential threats.
Engineering Corps: Tasked with infrastructure development, logistics, and battlefield fortifications, ensuring that Raxxian forces remain operationally self-sufficient.
Internal Security Forces: A military police organization maintaining order and rooting out internal threats such as spies or insurrectionists.

Laws

Laws within the Raxxian Stratocracy are designed to maintain order, loyalty, and efficiency. Crime is rare, as the rigid structure of their society discourages dissent, and punishments are swift and severe. Military courts handle most legal matters, emphasizing collective duty over individual rights. Any act of treason or desertion is met with exile or execution, as betrayal is considered an unforgivable crime. However, the legal system also values meritocracy, rewarding individuals who demonstrate exceptional service or ingenuity in their duties.
