Wyrd and Frailties

Wyrd is the mystical force that permeates Arcadia. As such, a Changeling's Wyrd rating is meant to represent just how deeply the Changeling has tapped into this force. The higher the Wyrd rating, the more alien the Changeling, and the more powerful their abilities are.   A high Wyrd rating comes with both advantages and disadvantages, as per CtLC (1E), pg. 83-88. Below is a modified table from those pages that shows how they work in this specific Chronicle.
Wyrd Attribute/Skill Max Max Glamour/Per Turn Total Frailties Disease/Fatigue Penalty Reduction Goblin Fruits
1 5 10/1 -1 3
2 5 11/2 -1 7
3 5 12/3 One minor -1 7
4 5 13/4 -2 13
5 5 14/5 Two minor -2 13
6 6 15/6 -2 13
7 7 20/7 One major, two minor -3 29
8 8 30/8 One major, three minor -3 29

Frailties

The more strongly connected and imbued with Wyrd a Changeling becomes, the more Fae-like their very nature will become. One of the quirks that comes with this is called Frailties. These come in two varieties: Taboos, and Banes. Taboos are behavioural restrictions that either compel or prohibit the Changeling from behaving in certain ways in specific situations. Banes are items, situations, or such that cause the Changeling harm despite whatever protection they might have.    Additionally, they come in minor and major varieties. The minor Frailties are inconvenient but unlikely to come up in day to day life. For major Frailties, they impede the Changeling in their day to day life.   There is no one list of Frailties, and you are encouraged to come up with your own. The point of it is that it should challenge your character, but not be a drag to play out. There is plenty of inspiration to be found in fairytales for various Frailties. Make sure that the concept fits with your character and makes sense with them, and to check with the ST that what you want to do works.
