Quantum Manipulation

Quantum Manipulation also known as String Manipulation is the alteration and creation of anomalous phenomena via the alteration of the string vibrations our universe is an expression of. This technology is follows our natural laws, but allows us to manipulate them to an incredibly malleable degree stretching it's rules almost to breaking. Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, only Fiction-Generation has been able to actually break those laws and push beyond.

Utility

Quantum manipulation has incredible utility in theory. It was key for the terraforming of Venus and Mars having moved atmosphere from one world to another. It is often used in the field of construction, war, mercenaries and defense contractors, entertainers, detectives and many other spheres. It allows one to alter the frequency of strings to whatever one wants, affectively allowing one to alter the universe.
However, this anomalous effect is not para-causal, it's causes are limited to our string changes. As such it its limited by Tadesse's laws. Any matter or energy manifested or destroyed during the event are not in truth, they are borrowed from another space and energy system of which it will return keeping with the principle laws of energy and matter. Strings desire a return to frequency it was running at, thus the anomalous effect struggles against the change as opposed to newtons laws. Meaning anomalous effects can not defy the natural laws long term, and that adding more complexity makes the math exponentially more difficult, not linearly. Lastly, frequencies effect one another, thus all quantum calculations require editing in real time to balance the universes reaction, meaning one can not simply create a formula and automate the process, one must be able to compute and edit the alterations in real time. Functionally, only mathematicians, professional or hobbyist, can accurately use the tech. 
However, this has not dampened it's use. The trade of String Manipulator - Wizard is still very popular in this age, and other jobs such as Rogue - Rogue have specialized in combining the art as well as some Space Marines - Fighter using it as part of their combat system.

Access & Availability

String Manipulation technology is wildly available materially, but requires such immense expertise that it has not seen adoption outside experts in the field, and the fact that it can not be simplified due to Tadesse's Laws has meant the technology has seen less development post golden age.

Discovery

This science was discovered during the golden age of the United Earth Sphere as our understanding of string theory reached it's zenith. Doctor Maramawit Tadesse developed the technology as a method or resolving and causing small scale miraculous effects. From her we have Quantum Manipulations Golden Laws. All matter and Energy can only be transferred, not destroyed, even at the string level. All altered strings yearn to return to it's previous frequency. All frequency must be adjusted in real time.
