In the beginning, there was nothing. From nothing the dark spun into being, heavy and black. But the dark seethed, and grew, and split into three - into ignei petram, the molten rock. Into stella flamma, starfire. Into glacies tempestas, storms of ice and snow.   The children of the dark danced together for time untold, spinning and spinning and spinning. And as they cavorted and gamboled, worlds whirled into being. One such world was ours, starfire fusing with molten rock and ice, creating land and sea and sky. But the world was empty, and cried out in loneliness. The stella flamma heard the cries and could not resist them, spinning and spinning and spinning until they hadform, eyes to view the beauty of the world, feet to dance across the land, voices to raise in song.   They soon too grew lonely, and beseeched the land and sea to join them. In this time countless creatures were created, both lowly and fantastical, with the final of those creatures being humankind. With bodies created from dust, the blood of the sea in their veins, the coelicola loved these creatures, blessing them with souls of starfire.   The coelicola loved these first humans so dearly, they took them to their breast, caressing their delicate skin and delighting in their softness. From these unions children were born, squaling infants with both blood and starfire in their veins.
