The Kelsh Empire brought Chaos to the world with their surprise invasions across it. Looking to bring the other nations to their knees with their mysterious allies. In a nearly 7 year long war that ended up bringing the nations together and destruction world-wide, it all ended with the fall of the Kelsh Empire, several gods, hundred of thousands of lives, and an unimaginable change to the fundamentals of magic.

The Chaos War was the official end of the Trade Age. With the mighty Kelsh Empire striking out against the Vadra Trade Empire for seemingly no reason. The rapid strike against their southern neighbors took the world by surprise, and so did their subsequent invasions of the other nations. Even with all their military might starting so many wars at the same time seemed foolhardy. During the first year of the war, nations began to gain confidence and ground back from the foreign invaders. It all seemed like this senseless war would end quickly. Then the creatures began appearing. Abominations that had never been seen before began appearing marching along side Kelsh troops. Creatures that could inhale matter with the power of a windstorm, shoot molten metal from orifices on their backs, and walked with bodies covered in razor sharp spines. After these creatures came the legions of stone warriors, and then the airships that cascaded fire down in deadly rain. The elven nation of Valash and the closest Garuda Seed Groves began to waver and vouch for peace. Leaving former allies to be slaughtered in the waves of attacks.   In year 5 of the war, the world had dissolved into utter chaos with the Kelsh burning their way across the Reevnic and Molor. Just making landfall on Valash and Gnam. When the tide swung in against the Kelsh. The old Draconic Empire entered the war and crushed the invading force into the Gnomelands. Joined by the Gnomelands, the Draconic Empire pushed the Kelsh armies back across the Broken Sea and retook Molor. On the otherside of the world, the mysterious Spell Weavers reached out aid the the elven nations and began a counter offensive against the Kelsh. Retaking a devastated Vadra and pushing north.   By year 6 the war and completely turned against the Kelsh Empire, who where now desperately trying to defend against quite literally the world coming down on top of them. Fierce fighting across the Kalm eventually forced the Sand Emperor to and his remaining armies to flee from their capital of Graan Juweel northward. After a month of chasing them down, the worlds armies cornered the last of the Kelsh forces against the Pit of the Void. In a final confrontation to end this all, the Battle of the Godsfall Mountains began. However this retreat ended up being a trap set by the Kelsh, summoning forth gargantuan horrors from the Void Pit and calling in hidden reinforcements to strike back against and destroy their enemies. The monsters, so great, drew the attention of the gods who came down and engaged the creatures directly.   It was a blood bath that stained the sands red with blood. Not a single Kelsh soldier survived, their mighty airships struck down against the mountainside, and their emperor hoisted on a pike over the endless pit. But it wasn't without great loss. Of the hundreds of thousands of allied soldiers, only a few thousand remained. Dragon corpses lay half buried in the sands, and Mosa was the only god to have survived the combat. As the survivors gathered their barrings to begin their treks home, the remaining airships began to fall from the sky, the gnomish flying fortresses crashing and crumbling as the made impact, and casters rushing to help found their powers changed, altered, and greatly weakened. As the world began to realize that something had drastically changed.
