Telarake is a child of divorced parents. Her dad’s a lawyer and her mom’s a psychiatrist. She’d never really felt particularly attached to either of her parents the way most children were. They were friendly enough to each other, but there was no parent-child love there at all. Most people who found out were horrified at how casually she talked about it, but it never really bothered her. Much.

Dralaari typically have strong familial bonds, making her situation far outside the norm for her species. It was likely one of the reasons why she finds herself living in Gehenna City. There isn't a large population of dralaari there and so she's less likely to have her lifestyle judged by those who knew what her family should be like.
When she grows up, she just wants a quiet life with her family.
