Anatomy

Dralaari have a resemblance to the dragons of Earth mythology. They have clawed feet, wings, and a long, powerful tail.

Genetics and Reproduction

Dralaari reproduce by laying eggs.

Ecology and Habitats

Their home world is a planet called Sha'haal in orbit around the sun Thuuban. At some point it was rendered uninhabitable. The remaining members of this species live in colonies in nearby systems.

Social Structure

The dralaari follow a strict monarchy. The eldest offspring of the reigning monarch typically inherits the throne although that hasn't always been the case historically.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Elder dralaari are capable of limited flight though only a small segment of the populace reaches an age where their wings are that developed.

Naming Traditions

Children are given what is known as an egg name. This name is unisex and they have this name until their 5th birthday when they are formally introduced to dralaari society. They're given the name they'll carry with them into adulthood.

They have a cousin species, the shriilar from Kephkanin.

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking

Dralaari from the western hemisphere have a more Caucasian skin tone while those from the eastern hemisphere have a more Mediterranean skin tone. Western dralaari have wing tones in shades of blue, green, and purple. Their standard hair colours are green, blonde, red, and teal. Eastern dralaari have wing tones in shades of yellow, red, and white. Their standard hair colours are brown, grey, blue, and orange.
