Anatomy

These bipedal people have digitigrade legs. Their hands and feet have three digits tipped with stubby claws.

There is a higher ratio of males to females in their population (0.66 male/female).

Genetics and Reproduction

Females reproduce very slowly. Once they've reached physical maturity it takes 4 lunar cycles for their bodies to be fertile. On average, this happens only 2 or 3 times a year.

Their habitat is a rocky desert. There are a few volcanoes.

Dietary Needs and Habits

They can go for months at a time without water, getting most of the moisture they need from small desert dwelling insects and reptiles.

They normally live in big family groups. One house compound will typically have at least two generations of a family and some extended family as well.

A single eye is set into the center of their face. Small horns ring their head.

Cyvvan mostly stick to the warmer desert regions but they have small colonies planet-wide.

The cyvvan are a highly advanced, space faring race. They share their technological advancements with great caution and generally only with other species who have also shown to be advanced.

They don't have any kind of depth perception but they can see a greater range of colour than humans can.

Civilization and Culture

Beauty Ideals

While their skin is brown it tends to have mottled patterns to it. Plainer skin is seen as less desirable than skin with more interesting patterns.
Short horns that are lighter in colour are the most desirable. Cyvvan will often have their horns shaved down and bleached to fit this ideal.

Average Technological Level

Cyvvan are one of the most advanced races in the galaxy are there are very few worlds who don't know who they are. Those who don't have yet to make an appearance in the galaxy at large. They're well known for having one of the best means of interstellar travel. The star drives possessed by the Auri'll'ye Hiilshadaar are nearly as good but since they don't trade their technology it's largely a moot point.

They communicate using a complex language. It's difficult for outsiders to learn it. Their language has become so complex over the last couple thousand years that the simpler ancient texts have become nearly illegible to them.

Physical contact is taboo, reserved for private places only.

History

They are an ancient race and have already visited most of the stars in the galaxy. They are extremely susceptible to human diseases. Even the common cold is deadly to them, as they have no immunity.
