Martin Thompson

Martin Thompson is a former minion and ex-convict who lives in the greater San Francisco area. He grew up in a bad neighbourhood, and learned to defend himself early on. He joined a local gang and helped them make money by pawning things they obtained.
At one point he joined forces with a new villain named Burt, who dubbed himself Bomber, in an attempt to make money. They were confronted by Arcane Avenger during their second bank robbery, and were captured. Martin was sent to the Nevada Supermax, where he kept himself out of trouble and tried to turn over a new leaf, learning welding in prison classes.
Once out of SuperMax on parole, he got a job as a welder at the West Coast Scrapyard. He has no intention of going back to prison and is doing his best to stay out of trouble.

Martin would be considered a Class F superhuman, as his power is not useful in most situations.

Martin's superpower is the ability to judge how powerful another person is on sight, which is conveyed by how much they terrify him. He has gained a degree of control over his power, and is no longer rendered nearly catatonic by the sight of Class S superhumans.
