Zoris and the Sealing of the Four Elemental Lords
Summary
In the beginning, there were the four Elemental Lords: Aequas, the Lord of Water; Terres, the Lord of Earth; Venteos, the Lord of Air; and Igneus, the Lord of Fire. Each lord had complete control over the element in question, and could bend it to their will. They were a sight to behold, but they would not last--for one day, a being by the name of Zoris sealed them away into gemstones. He picked one he deemed appropriate for each: Aequas, a sapphire; Terres, an emerald; Venteos, an amethyst; and Igneus, a ruby. Knowing that someone would inevitably try to free these lords from their new cages, Zoris then broke the gems into a thousand pieces each, and scattered them across the world. Now, any wannabe hero would have to find every piece if they wanted to unseal the lords. Not that this stopped them from trying, of course. It is said that ever since then, Zoris has spent his days traveling the world, making sure the Elemental Lords stay sealed away.
