01 - A Grave Situation
General Summary
The Kren'Sar set off from Lirimidium, heading towards Askursund.
Watcher kept watch from the lookout post, but saw nothing suspicious.
New members of the crew made their introductions.
The Kren'Sar arrived at Askursund. Tantos Zendica, Sindril Helviarn, Mitch, Judge, Echyll, Watcher, Khrumem and Pitho entered the tomb.
Judge stole some loot from the tomb, half of which he shared with Pitho.
Mitch found a vial of strange yellow liquid.
Echyll began to hear strange whispering.
The group made their way past several traps, all the time walking on the bones of the dead.
Watcher found a dagger marked with a symbol of a serpent. Sindril kicked sand over it.
Using Watcher's detect magic, the crew discovered that the replica amulet they had been supplied with was enchanted with some kind of divination magic, probably some variation of scrying spell.
The crew entered a large cavernous room. The floor, around a central platform, was covered in the bodies of undead creatures. On the central platform there was a large portal (using the word portal here in its mundane sense, not magical) of stone, depicting a cobra. Opposite the portal there was a stone chair, with a corpse slumped in it. Behind the chair was a chest and a statue of the serpent.
The portal was magical, but nothing the crew did seemed to get any reaction from it.
The chest was filled with skulls, each with a name inscribed on the forehead.
Judge took the amulet from the corpse in the chair and saw a vision of a classroom in Orne Lenora, where a student killed the all the plants belonging to other students.
After taking the amulet, it attached itself to Judge's wrist and the undead creature sprang to un-life.
In the fight and escape, Tantos, Khrumem and the Wyvern were killed. Shamith fought off the creature but fell to an unknown fate.
Kaida returned to the ship and began to follow Mitch who, by rank, was now in command of The Kren'Sar.
Watcher took up the role of navigator. The ship sailed out to sea and got lost.
