T3
The "T3 utility droid" was heavily inspired by the writeups on Wookieepedia for the "T3 series utility droid" and the writeup from the amazing folks over at D6 Holocron ( http://d6holocron.com ).
The T3 series of utility droid was first developed by Marsh Mechanics, Ltd during the years of the Old Republic as a bid to stave off a hostile takeover by Mousetelligence Designs, Inc. The bid failed MDI continued the production run of the popular and extremely durable droid type.
Currently not as widespread as the astromech R series, the T series is still used in many locations around the galaxy.
Star Wars: Shards is a work of pure, unabashed fiction. In fact, it considers itself rather heroic, noble, and quite proud of itself.
