The jogu tree is an enormous tree that grows to a height of 200 to 240 feet ( 61 to 73.2 meters ) off the ground. The tree is a deciduous broad-leaf tree that grows on many worlds in the Tapani Sector, but is in great abundance on the world of Setolio in the Setolio System.
During spring and fall, the tree produces a large pod-like fruit that grows on the underside of the canopy. Due to the height of the tree, farmers who maintain jogu tree groves use hover platforms and treehouse-like structures to live and farm the orchards.
The fruit pods themselves have a yellow exterior and a purple fruit inside. It has a lightly sweet taste and is highly prized for various types of dishes. It also is used in preparation for several kinds of anti-toxins.
