Echos of the Mind

Effect

Echos of the Mind is a Catali shaman power that is very similar to the Force power Life Detection.
In this song, a shaman's soft tune resonates through the Winds of Force, then echoes back if it encounters a living, sentient being that might be out of sight from the shaman under normal circumstances.
When this power is active, the Catali knows the location of all living, sentient beings within 10 meters of said shaman. If the power is kept up, the shaman may know when a sentient approaches him or her within 10 meters ( or vice versa).

Side/Secondary Effects

If the shaman beats the difficulty roll by 10 or more, the echo coming back through the Winds of Force is rather strong. This means the shaman could know the answer to the following questions:

Is the person sensitive to the Winds of Force? ( yes / no )

Does the person have any skills to call the Winds of Force? ( yes / no )

Has the shaman met the person before? ( yes / no )

... and if the shaman has met the person before, what is that person's name?

Manifestation

Note that unlike most other Catali shaman powers, the Game Master makes the Sense roll for the Shaman!

Anyone who is not Force-sensitive : Moderate

This roll is modified by relationship.
Each person within range of the shaman may make an opposed control or perception roll to avoid detection out of instinct. The roll is a "free" action, meaning that it doesn't cause the person to suffer a -1D to any subsequent actions.
