Note's on the Kurzah

The Kurzah called Hyperspace the Deep. The Rakatan Array made it so they couldn't navigate Hyperspace.   Sothis wanted to reach the last bastion in the Rakatacrom vision. The archeologist of Toprawa said that, when he attacked, Bantrik was trying to find out about the last bastion.   We got a little of the Rakatan side of the conflict, though it was from an ancient, incredibly biased, and probably not very sane Rakatan force ghost.   According to the recording the Rakatan showed us about their M.O. for taking over planets, where a meteor hit the planet and vines seemed to spread from the point of impact that, "something about the planet and the meteor didn't feel correct."   sothari were sothari cause they could grow ships were looking for more information to travel stars, not enough code to teach it to any one else   computer core was pilot, pilot became ship the sothari were looking for something, they didn't have the data they were looking to be stronger there was a fractured mind? we only had sothari. then they found rakatans and war started they couldnt get to their worlds, not easily. if I wanted to take over a world, she'd have to stay there. no interestt in staying on a planet long enough to make itt mine. wanted to take useful stuff back to their home world   sothis doesn't understand what she's remembering, she never would have done that (even if she totally could have) somewhere between 12 and 20 capital ships the records don't have an official count. may have been lost or classified according to sothis only sothari could make ships but they wouldn't have made big ships for anyone but themselves   some of the migght be people? but some of them are probably pets. none are sothari   rakatans say they're a corrpution of the Truth, and use it in a corrupted manner. they infected world tthats needed to be destroyed to the infection. they were worried about tarentateks on kashyyyk. they don't want them to mimic apex predators so it was worth losng a fleet.   not interested in planetry destruction, just in genetic harvesting spored destroeyed metal, only longest range weapon outranged the kurzon   infected after a sothari had to crash land looking for genetic information to make themselves more powerful.   ggrew plants into bioweapons and ships? superstitious and primitive? a member of dark council was rumoured to be kurzahn? wore a mask and vaporized on death.

The Ravings of Sith, and the Cults Who Listen to Them
9th of May, ATC 55

So, after going to the Republic station to see if we could contact the Jedi about selling the information we got and getting the star map translated, they informed us that one Darth Glovoc was known to have information about Rakatan space and they'd need his records to figure out how to map our space charts to the Rakatans. So off we went to Nyriaan. The locals we as hostile as we were told they'd be, but apparently they knew Sith and were willing to talk with us because I speak that language. They told us we needed to go through a Trial of Pain (tm) to get into the ziggurat where all the archives from the downed ship were kept. After replying, sure ok I guess, they challenged us to ritual combat. We won, and after a gift of supplies, we were let into the ziggurat.   The ziggurat was a trial to support the people of the tribe, with both modern healing and a library for those who came to learn....if they were willing to brave the dangers! (dun dun DUN!). The actual trial we were interested in involved finding the circles on the floor which told Glovoc's revised Sith code. It used more modern nanotech to reveal more of the code as an individual found more circles, but I imagine it seemed pretty mystical to the natives.   We found all the hints to the Sith runes, and the entire code, which lead me to figure out the lock on the force field after a few mishaps.   Inside was a very dramatic AI hologram made by Darth Glovoc, who was not dead but apparently in stasis until his cult was powerful enough to be his army so he could conquer the Galaxy. It was apparently a 3000+ year plan that, after the Republic, Jedi, Empire, and Sith fell, there would be only on "Ray of Light" left and would be his best chance to conquer the Galaxy. Even his AI seemed to think he was pretty crazy, though our appearance meant at least on of his prophecies came true.   He gave us the info we wanted in return for an update on current events and to deliver a message to the Republic and Jedi that this planet was totes his, so back off.

Rakatan Ruins
28th of March, 55 ATC

We managed to deal with the mercenaries. Apparently the dead mine owner was trying to sell info about ruins to the Bumani Exchange. When they decided they didn't want to offer more money, they decided to cut out the middle man since it probably wasn't hard for them to find out where his find was.   The ruins were indeed Rakatan. It was a research station that was studying an enemy of the Rakatans and had some tentacle thing inside the stasis field. Niwadi convinced the miners to let us take the things we wanted in exchange for leaving the rest of the lab to them.   I hopefully convinced Petrarch that one of his potential buyers had already found and emptied the research station so there won't be more interest from Sith parties in the mine.

Arrival at Torport Prime
March 25, 55 ATC

Got to Torport Prime with Daymar and Radjuya. The only mercs we could find at first were through the Bumani Exchange, which wanted 2/3's ownership and for the community to essentially sell themselves into slavery for their "help", which is less than ideal. They did mention that there were Jedi in the area looking for xonolite, which seems hopeful. Daymar and Radjuya have concerns that they can't or won't help, or worse they might be Sith, but it's worth looking into. If they are Jedi, they may at least be willing to help for a reasonable price.
