Tector Class Star Destroyer

The Tector Class Star Destroyer is a rare variant of the Imperial Class Star Destroyer. The hangars on the ship are replaced with increased structure support and armor plating. This makes the ship more efficient in ship to ship combat however it's lack of fighters require carrier support. Developed in the later part of the Clone Wars as a compliment to the Venator Class ships it served well. However in a time when major capital ship threats are seen rarely the ship lost favor with the Empire and few are produced today as the Empire favors the Imperial Class with its hangars.
