Galactic Republic

The Galactic Republic is the longest-standing political organisation in the Galaxy. As of 1020BBY, it governs most of the Core Worlds, as well as the Inner Rim, Colonies and Expansion Region. It is still recovering from a brutal, decades-long war against the Sith Empire.
