The Scrap Makers
A gang of violent space pirates, dedicated to turn your ship into scrap and sell it - possibly you included.
Structure
The leader of the gang goes by the title of Jarl. He has several ships under his control, each is lead by a Karl, and all below him are Thralls. If a gang grows to have several bands of ships, each of them are lead by a Jarl, and the leader of the Jarls has the title of King. A gang or pirate crew usually only goes as far up as Jarl, as a King is either quickly disposed of or only temperary if a conflict grows big enough in scale.
Culture
The scrappers are brought together by their need to feed themselves by any means nescessary, and their taste for aggresively acquiring what they need. Scrap Makers are quick and violent. Most if not all come from a criminal and impoverished background, but if you join and your heart is not in the violence, you are quickly out of your depths.
There is a predominant fratty masculinity in place, with a hierarchy based on bullying, where it's all do or die and peer presure is top of the daily servings. To some, joining is the taste of ultimate freedom, to others even this shit is better than what they had before.
It's not all about muscles though, as especially mechanical and electrical know-how is a must to be succesful at scrapping starships. As a result, many among them know a little something about robotics or cybernetics, and weapong manufacture and modification. Body modification is gloryfied as long as it "looks rad".

The Scrap Makers has a small fleet of a Capital Ship (a Jet Carrier), a couple of frigates and a hellova lot of SoloJets and DuoJets.
History
As in many cases, a former gang fell apart, and a new person was ready to take the reigns in the chaos and form a new gang.

I made this world because my mind keeps rambling, and instead of stopping it, I'm riding the wave.
It started with a picture in my mind of a tiger man in a small spacecraft following a giant tiger in space, in the tone of old saturday morning cartoons and the Heavy Metal animated movie.
Then came the idea of his occational ally, a woman in space flying a small asteroid. The more I wrote on her, the more I got intrigued by the past, I deviced.
Right now the flow is focused on her background - namely all related to The Genesis Project.
I do all of the writing and almost all of the drawing myself at this point.
My hope for Star Tiger is a published story or a graphical novel, but my big dream is an animated show.
