The Starchildren are another recent addition to the pantheon, and appear to be a collection of mixed ascendant powers across multiple systems. They are credited by many as the power that kept them safe from the destruction of the shattering of the spheres, and considered silent guardians of wildspace, pushing back the shores of the astral sea.
Worship of the Starchildren has spread informally among spacefarers, particularly those who were closer to the shattering spheres than their dirtkicker cousins. Converts claim their ships or stations were swept to safety by mystical winds, shielded from the burning phlogiston by shifting shields of rainbow light, or simply reappeared in safer locations at the very moment they thought they would burn to a crisp.
Scuttle has a station and several small worlds can be glimpsed adrift in the Astral Sea, and these are attributed to the starchildren. The only recurring theme among the rumours is that clerics, paladins, and other divine-powered worshippers of the Starchildren claim their patrons were the very stars on the inside of many crystal spheres. There are no established churches to the Starchildren, as their worship and mythology seems to change from system to system, but their followers have begun to speak of them more publicly.
