While this NPC is an active, unwounded member of your crew or organisation, you may have them accompany you as a follower regardless of their Loyalty score. During combat encounters you control the actions of any bodyguards, but the DM may overrule any action they deem is in conflict with the bodyguards personality. You may be accompanied by a number of bodyguards equal to your charisma modifier, or your proficiency bonus, whichever is higher. Most Bodyguards are level 7 Champions.
