Action: Craft (crew member with loyalty 5+ and relevant proficiency, or character with relevant proficiency), Trade (crew member with loyalty 5+ and Intimidation or Persuasion proficiency, or character with Intimidation or Persuasion proficiency), Away Mission (4 or more crew members with loyalty 15+)
A shuttle bay has docking spaces, maintenance, and repair facilities for four Shuttles. While your vessel has an active shuttle bay, you can dock or undock a Shutte as a Utilize action from within the Shuttle. The Shuttle Bay contains four sets of Carpenter’s Tools, Mason’s Tools, Potter’s Tools, Smith’s Tools, Tinker’s Tools, and Woodcarver’s Tools. You must track the number and type of shuttles in the Shuttle Bay.
Crew Access
While your vessel has an active Shuttle Bay you can recruit crew that use Thieves’ Tool’s or an Artisan’s Tool as a Spellcasting Focus when you use the Recruit Action aboard the vessel.
Proficiency
When you perform a Craft action on the facility if you are not proficient with the relevant Artisan’s Tools make a wisdom check against DC 15; if successful you gain proficiency with one of the relevant Artisan’s Tools.
Away Mission: Rescue (2 Shuttles, 1 Crew per character to be rescued)
In the event that the party has been captured, detained, or lost somewhere within 50 miles of the vessel, If your Vessel has an active Shuttle Bay the party may request the DM run a brief adventure to retrieve their characters with each player taking control of a single member of the crew for the session. The DM is advised to be prepared for this eventuality should the current adventure contain the possibility of this occurring, and the DM assigns crew members to each player to play.
Craft Options
When you use the Craft Action with this facility, you perform the Craft Shuttle action:
Craft: Shuttle. You must have an empty docking space in the Shuttle Bay. Craft an Assault, Cargo, or Merchant Shuttle. Four crew and/or characters must each have proficiency in at least one of the Artisan’s Tools listed in the table below, and the shuttle must be constructed with the relevant material.
To craft the shuttle make a wisdom proficiency check with the relevant set of tools, at a DC of the armour class of the material. Crafting the vessel requires 100 charges of Ships Supply. If you failed the proficiency check the shuttle is still crafted, but it requires an additional 10d10 charges of Ships Supply. The shuttle is placed in one of the four docking spaces in your Shuttle Bay.
Alternatively, instead of crafting a shuttle in an empty docking space, you may disassemble a shuttle docking in the facility’s docking space and gain 75 + 5d10 charges of Ships Supply.
Trade Options
When you use the Trade Action with this facility, choose one of the following options:
Trade: Buy or Sell Shuttle. You must be docked at a settlement with a
Port Authority of renown 5+. You purchase or sell a shuttle docked in your shuttle bay.
Away Mission: Steal (1 Shuttle, 4 Crew). You assign four members of your crew to infiltrate a location within 50 miles of your current location and steal a nonmagical object from it. The object can be no bigger than 5 feet in any dimension (one half unit of Cargo) and is delivered to your vessel. The DM may decide this activity comes with risk and there is a chance the crew members and shuttle do not return, and it may leave your vessel at risk of retaliation from law enforcement or the victim.
Away Mission: Recon (1 Shuttle, 4 Crew). You assign four members of your crew to scout a location within 50 miles of your current location and return with information. They provide three accurate pieces of information about the location that were previously unknown to you and shares this knowledge with you immediately. The DM determines what information you learn.
