Penance

Wondrous Item, Legendary (Requires Attunement) This beautiful cloak is made from the scales of the gold dragon Enerithan, slain by his familiar Blaine in 2870 SYOF. Blaine was under the Geas of a powerful drow archmage by the name of Demron, nemesis of the pair and their associates.   The drow gave Blaine a devils choice of two deaths, that of the dragon, or his friend and the dragons wife, the star druid Amber. Via their mental link Enerithan begged his familiar to choose him as the target, knowing that Amber was pregnant with their twins (Khyron and Adora Enerithan, born soon after their fathers death).   Demron appeared to Blaine shortly after the birth of his new wards, gifting him the cloak as a parting stigma. Made aware the cloak bore a curse, Blaine willingly donned the cloak to see his master and best friend again in the afterlife, and unbeknownst to the drow to send the Gho that was his own soul to the Dragon Eyrie upon his death, in the hope the draconic seat of power would prove a prison for the spirit.   Blaines guardianship of the twin dragonblood children ended when Khyron murdered Amber to take possession of Blackjammers Relics, seeking to use their mythical power to control the Illjammer. The wolfwere was last rumoured to be somewhere in realmspace, cursing the shattering of the spheres that stole his vengeance by killing Demron and his allies shortly after the murder of the dragon.   This cloak has 3 charges and regains 1d3 expended charges daily at dawn. While wearing the cloak, you can take a Magic action to pull its hood over your head and expend 1 charge to give yourself the Invisible condition for 1 hour. The effect ends early if you pull the hood down (no action required) or cease wearing the cloak.   You gain a +1 bonus to Armor Class and saving throws while you wear this cloak.   Curse. This cloak is cursed, and becoming attuned to it extends the curse to you. As long as you remain cursed, you are unable to remove the cloak.   The soul of a creature that dies while wearing the cloak is sent to the Dragon Eyrie. The curse of the cloak is only ended upon the the wearers death, or by means of a Wish spell cast by a dragon.
