A devoted follower of Sharn, the Crow Lord, Crowley is an exceptionally tall duellist, and like many of the Crow Lord’s followers an accomplished warlock. He serves the Dread Pirate King Blackjammer as both enforcer and executioner, and is often seen stalking into Blackrock covered in blood. In battle he is an exceptional duellist, and strikes with blinding speed.
None have seen Jack’s face and lived to tell of it, nor even more terrifyingly have those that have seen it been able to describe it when contacted from beyond. He wears the Mask of the Crow Queen, a plague doctor mask worn by a slain queen from a distant system that many whisper he betrayed. Be it at the executioner's block, or on the deck of a vessel, he wields a deadly blade known as the Murder of the Nine Crows, a blade whispered to steal the souls of those slain at its point.
Scuttle claims Jack Crowley is human, although at over seven feet tall and never seen without his mask and leather armour, some question his mysterious origin. They say he is as agile as he is deadly, both in battle and in the casino, and is typically found watching for foolish visitors to Blackrock who are ready to lose their coin, or their heads.
Like those highest in the cult of Sharn, Jack Crowley seems to have taken a vow of silence, and the small crew he keeps for his ship certainly seem cult like in their actions around him. A trio of goliath rogues known as the Tall Sisters are his chief officers, the oldest of which wields a huge two handed axe, while the younger pair wield large, wickedly curved scimitars. The Tall Sisters are fond of beheading their opponents, while Jack is said to save the decapitations for the blocks of Blackrock (a deadly testament to his still with the rapier) - while in battle he aims for hearts, and little else.
