The Mind Flayer known as H’Catha Slim has stalked the skies of Realmspace for more than ten years aboard his heavily armed Nautiloid The Empty Skull. With a penchant for the dramatic, his mix of pirate and cowboy aesthetics is infamous through Blackrock and the rest of the system.
Speaking telepathically he still manages to give the impression of a slow drawl, filled with obscure references to life on the ranch mixed with occasional shipboard metaphors. He enjoys taunting his enemies, the taste of their fear and frustration making his conquests that much sweeter, and he has been known to ‘call out’ other pistoleers in public spaces to make a spectacle.
The Empty Skull is as deadly in combat as its captain, loaded heavy with cannons and slaves to crew them. Slim is always first draw in any fight, while as Captain of the Skull he prefers to circle an enemy and blast them mercilessly, sometimes without regard to the targets cargo. Rarely does the ship engage in boarding actions, more frequently its crew of slaves simply toss large nets out as the ship passes by its defeated opponents, and drag themselves in some supplies - H’Catha Slim isn’t known for feeding his cattle, more the other way around.
NOTE: H'catha Slim is a character from Legends of the Multiverse, played in that show by Brennan Lee Mulligan and B. Dave Walters.
