Power of Inevitability and/or Time.   A god formed of the conglomeration of divine and infernal corpses, drifting in the astral sea where it borders upon the far realm. Grillex’s theology claim it grew out of these corpses as they rotted together, like a fungus on wood in a forest, or a barnacle on a pile of driftwood. The church, often lead by plasmoids, reveres spores, molds, and fungus, and often keeps them as holy (or unholy) examples of Grillex’s form. These deadly creatures are rarely domesticated, and thieves avoid Grillex’s temples lest they be devoured slowly and painfully.   Often, madness lies at the heart of Grillex's worshippers. They sing in bizarre wordless voices, perform strange acts of ritual sacrifice (often to their resident creatures), and move among their local populace in closely huddled groups referred to as mycelium. Scuttle is that when your flesh shivers or crawls, a mycelium is nearby watching you, or cloistered in secret planning some terrifying end for you.   Some arcanists have theorised a link between Grillex and the Atropals that Acererak uses to power his soul mongers, but none have been able to prove this conclusively. It may well be that the temples trade with The Devourer’s followers in secret.   Those that pay homage to Grillex are often the less favoured of society, those seeking relief from pain, or suffering some horrible affliction. Oddly, scuttle is the plasmoids and other intelligent ooze-kin that worship it often see it as a paragon of their own species, speak of it in a highly positive and friendly manner, and tend to give non-worshippers the ‘heebie jeebies’.
