Power of Laughter and/or Revenge The Lord, Lady, or Lox depending on their whim, is the chaotic prankster god of trickery, amusement, and insults. Strangely, they are also the ascendant most closely linked with revenge - from harmless yet complicated subtle schemes, to outright blood feuds, oaths of vengeance, and the occasional duel to the death. Patron of the Bardic College of Roasts, the Larrakin is a relatively new ascendant power in wildspace society, whose followers first established themselves in the chaotic years following the shattering of the spheres. Scuttle and rumour have it that they were a particularly salty noble magician that enjoyed taking others down a peg, playing the devils advocate in reformation plans, and generally making a nuisance of themself at others’ expense. If there are formal churches dedicated to Crikey, they are a well kept secret, rather their places of worship appear to be bars, taverns, community or company holds, and the occasional bardic college. Of the latter, the College of Roasts claims the Larrakin as its founder and patron, and both faculty and students pay the most common tribute to the patron of mockery. Those that pay tribute to Crikey do so by delivering cutting commentary on the parentage of others, by calling into question the ability of another individual to tie their own bootlaces if their shoes had buckles, or to hit the broadside of a whaleship with an apple. When they meet their fellows, worshippers of the Larrakin call each other by words considered impolite if not outlawed in most societies, are fond of tipping tankards of mead over the unsuspecting compatriots head, or use subterfuge to remove seating the instant before the others’ comfier parts would find repose. They are contrarians, blowhards, jokers, and comedians - until they feel the line has been crossed. There is no singular definition of this among the followers, but they tend to give a serious warning when they feel this is the case - and those that fail to take heed soon find laughter turned to rage, and often need the services of a healer or a mortician. Cross them once, the saying goes, and you’d best heed the warning if you value your life.
