Commercial Venue

Prerequisite: Level 5, Carrier Vessel, base cost 5,000 gp.   Facility Rating: 3 (Roomy, 12 Squares)   Supply: 1 Trade, 1 Luxury   Action: Research (crew member with 10+ loyalty), Trade     A Commercial Venue can only be fitted on a carrier. Folks come here to consume tasty food, beverages, enjoy live entertainment, and socialise. Members of the vessels crew under the hospitality work of the venue, sometimes going incognito and spying on the patrons of the venue. Each Commercial Venue contains two specific services. Each service may require specific cargo aboard the vessel to consume for actions.  
Install Options
When you install a Commercial Venue you select two Services from the following table:  
  While aboard your vessel, you can use an Install Action on an active Entertainment Venue to change one or both Services to a different type of Service.  
Assigning Crew
For a Service within a Commercial Venue to be considered active you must assign a number of crew as listed in the Service Table. While a Service is active and there are at least a number of passengers aboard the vessel (see Passengers) equal to the number of crew assigned to that Service, at the end of every Vessel Facility Turn the Service provides a passive income per passenger aboard the vessel.  
Research Options
When you use the Research Action with this facility, you perform the Information Gathering action:   Information Gathering. When you issue the Research order to this facility, you commission the crew members to gather information of all important events happening within the last three months at the settlement where you took most of your current passengers aboard. If you are seeking information about a specific event, individual, or location at the settlement, the DM may allow you to discover this information with a successful proficiency check.  
Trade Options
When you use the Trade Action with this facility, choose one of the following options:   Trade: Invisible Hand. Your passengers are treated as the next highest quality when providing passive income this Vessel Facility Turn.   Trade: Entertainment Spectacle. This action requires a Performance service. You stage a production of some kind. Any number of characters may participate to perform in the production. Each character who participates can make a DC 15 Charisma (Performance) check. If more of these checks succeed than fail, you and any other character who contributed to the concert or production each gain a Performance die, a d6. This die changes to a d8 when you reach level 13 and a d10 when you reach level 17.   At any point after the performance a character can expend their Performance die to roll it and add the number rolled to one D20 Test they make, immediately after rolling the d20. If a character hasn’t expended their Performance die before gaining another, their first die is lost.
