Church of Metal

The Church of Metal is dedicated to The Dark Lox of Metal and related ascendants, such as Bruce the Ironweald, John of Oz, and Saint Shirley.
Loosely affiliated with the College of Rock, the CoM makes up for its small worshipper base with grandiose theatrics, public concerts and performances, and supporting local charities.
Those unfamiliar with the Dark Lox's flock often conflate them with darkness and despair, but this could not be further from the truth. The church, its followers, ascendants, and related organisations promote goodness in all things - even if it may look like they are warlock cultists serving powrs from the abyss.
Like any power, the church sees magic as both a tool and as an instrument, using it artfully and effectively. There are indeed some demonic links within their number, but typically with goodness at heart - true evildoers are unwelcome in the church, and its followers regularly challenge evil proudly and loudly.
Most followers of the church are Bards, many of whom formed the College of Rock, but there are Clerics, Warlocks, and even Paladins among their number.

Structure

The Church of Metal is organised into local groups of multiple bands. While individuals of power and influence may organise or lead certain initiatives, the church itself follows a mostly democratic structure - although members need to be present, and debate can become loud and musical.
Religious rock offs are the common method of conflict resolution.
