Facunda Touissant

A scrappy kid who had to fend for himself while his parents were locked up. When his mother returned from incarceration, she wouldn't speak of what became of his father. Facunda wants nothing more than to fight the system that ripped his parents away from him, and an interest in the occult arts might give him that edge.   Skill/Domain: Fight/Occult   Bonds Gauwalt Wrufeld: Creepy magical doctor hiding from the law. The Knife Lady: The scariest best friend a kid could have.

Dafnei Thelemaque

Born under the name Yolene Legera, Dafnei ran away from a life of servitude and shame. Her parents stayed on as house staff in the estate of Grim-Lyrics-of-the-Wind after the Fulcrum Yard Massacre, and it was simply too much to bear. Now she lives under a new name, and has been taken in by the Ledder family, who have welcomed her with open arms, and ask blessedly few questions. Dafnei has a talent for overhearing things she's not supposed to.   Skill/Domain: Sneak/High Society   Bonds Meaglegon Doft: A self loathing drow cop, with whom Dafnei shares a secret. Pigeon: A pigeon tender who runs messages for people.

Manouchka Kettly

Called Mani by her friends, she is a girl who has developed a keen interest in mechanics from several of her parents. Raised in an all woman polycule, Manouchka benefits from many different perspectives and specialties in her family. Women come and go from her family, but she picks up something from each of them.   Skill/Domain: Fix/Technology   Bonds Funskle Arronaught: An uncle who is a knight of The North Docks, visiting his sick sister. Mammie: One of Mani's moms, she worships the Machine Heart.

Mona Ledder

A studious child who prefers field work to book study, she likes to collect bugs and catalogue them. Mona comes from a family that pays lip service to the church on big events, but aren't terribly devout. However they have a strong sense of community, and have taken in Dafnei as one of their own children. Mona spends a lot of time in the factories of The Works, gathering information for Trading & Statistics Reporting, a business paper.   Skill/Domain: Investigate/Academia   Bonds The Gayle Twins: Run a printing press, publishing news reports and seditionist pamphlets alike. Squish Foot: A mushroom child that likes to play with the other children of the neighborhood.
