Genesis Trees

Overview

Known to Mother Willow as her energy nexus', these unique trees were the seeders of life on Bastion. Through their seed pods, she focused her energies, jumpstarting and then nurturing the growth of the plant life that would one day serve as the base of the pyramid of life on Bastion. There were, at first, millions of them all across Bastion, fuelling a lush and vibrant world. But as humanity expanded with rapid speed and closed eyes, most of them were destroyed before they were looked at twice.

After the beginning of the stellar expansion of the Saikar, the trees were discovered in the few locations where natural wilderness remained. It was obvious to the discerning eyes of this advanced society, that these trees contained within them great power, and after rigorous study, it was theorized that these trees had indeed been the seeders of life here. Their discovery was called proof that the Weavers had grand plans for humanity, that they went to extra effort to ensure the survival and prosperity of their favourite children, and that these trees remained, both a test and a tool to supply the galactic expansion that was clearly planned for their great Empire. Meanwhile, deep below ground, the Giver watched in dismay, and was resolved to work even harder, to maintain for her children the paradise she felt they deserved, regardless of whether their attention went to those self-absorbed, arrogant arachnids.

It was using these nexus' as a base that the Technomancer's eventually constructed the Genesis Seeds, just in time to mitigate an incoming food crisis, for the short time before their blindness brought about the collapse of the real generous spirit that bore them from dust to glory.
