National Service for Public Prosecutions
The National Service for Public Prosecutions is the organization responsible for criminal and penal prosecutions in the Republic. This agency must represent the State and bring prosecutions on its behalf if necessary. It is central in the judicial system of the Republic since it is one of the key elements in all trials.
Structure
The National Service of Public Prosecutions is headed by the General Prosecutor of the Republic, who must direct the administration of the organization, appoint subordinates under his authority like the Deputy General Prosecutor of the Republic and maintain independence from political power. The General Prosecutor is appointed by the Secretary of Justice from a candidate chosen by the Office of the Federal Civil Service. Under his direction is also the Prosecutor in Charge leading the home judicial district who is responsible for leading the prosecution teams for the Supreme Court and other superior instances.
Upper Level
There are special prosecutors at the higher level appointed for particular purposes or permanently established for specific issues on a more federal scale that does not tie them to a particular jurisdiction. This allows them to send their teams to other federal judicial districts that need help in certain cases or to conduct large-scale federal investigations. These are then under the direction of the General Prosecutor of the Republic who has the power over the creation, modification or abolition of the offices of these special prosecutors.Lower Level
The activities of this agency must cover the entire territory of the Republic since the Federal Court is not just concentrated in one place. Each sector is therefore headed by a Head Prosecutor who supervises the different divisions located on inhabited planets and in certain extra-planetary cities handling cases in a federal judicial district. These are led by Prosecutors in Charge who are responsible for Chief Prosecutors leading the divisions on different federal matters in judicial districts.Public Agenda
The National Service for Public Prosecutions is responsible for representing the state in trials, enforcing the criminal code of the Republic throughout the territory with law enforcement, prosecute those who do not do so and sometimes having an advisory role on the legal changes that the government would like to make.
Assets
The organization has also hundreds of thousands of other buildings scattered across the Republic in addition to its headquarters in Paris where the offices of the General Prosecutor of the Republic are located to accomplish its objectives. Whether administrative centers, regional offices or other facilities to support the judicial system throughout the territory.
