Aquaus

NU-X14 is a K4 V Orange Main Sequence Star that has a M5 V Red Dwarf companion approximately 95 AU away from it. It is home to a watery planet, two rocky planets, two gas giants, and a rather dense asteroid belt.
The watery planet is a relatively young world, its life forms rather simple and its few island chains are almost entirely active volcanoes. Despite this, this planet already is host to sapient life, though probably not what the Na’Ur expected to find.
Calling themselves the “Mebe ” they are a species of giant amoeba, roughly 5 meters in diameter. They live under water in homes they are able to carve into the rock. Despite not being technologically advanced, they seem to be socially, having made a language out of water vibrations, and boasting a thorough legal and educational system.
