Magic is the use of Aura to manipulate other forces. Though the type of magic is dependent on the type of forces present. Though it's limited to those who do not have an Auroral System, with it however, it is easier to learn and use magic and more easier to reach higher levels despite it still being hard but it increases the chance than those without. Though there are some magic able to be used without aura or an aura-learned person can help a non-aura-learned person do magic or unlock their aura.
Though unlocking aura without knowledge of auroral exercises can lead to loss of soul. Most powerful magic are restricted to those who have a keen mind, the knowledge and ease of use of the auroral system. In Papiliosidus, the types of magic are categorised into levels which also takes their inspiration from the level of Magical Warriors
Despite it's name, the auroral system is connected to the aura but it's mostly used for magic.

Utility

There are multiple uses, usually they are use for ease of lifestyle, but some uses it to harm or create things out of the blue, no one know why the Immortals feel like it's a great idea to give mortals magic but it could be a competition among them for the Immortal of Magic or Energy position since energy is connected to the aura of a person which can also mean the life force, but maybe also the Immortal of Fate, Creation and Destruction, since magic has a lot to do with that what with the fate of being gifted with the affinity for magic and the spells that commonly integrates creating or destroying something.
Magic is just a tool, it's up to the wielder to do what they will with it and of course there are some who uses it for selfish or dark reasons like killing, attempting to get Immortality or power which makes some of the Immortals slightly scary to those who know they exist, whenever things don't go their way, they can't help but wonder if the Immortal of fate will lead them to a pit of fire next.

Manufacturing

Aura manipulation, energy manipulation and movement, in order to do magic, you need aura, meaning you need energy or a life force, this may limit artificial intelligence but if it has enough energy and is able to manipulate it, they'll need a magic conducting medium however if not it'll waste all of the energy or the magic will be performed internally.

The First Immortal of Magic

Access & Availability

Depends on the planet's views of magic, some may keep in under lock and key, some makes it illegal, some haven't discovered it yet, some uses magic in their daily lives or some may use it for selective reasons and only allow some people to know about it, some are unable to tap into it due to their constricting biology or their inadequate knowledge.

Complexity

There are a few levels on which magic is able to use, complicated magic like runes, giant summoning, rewriting or reconfiguration, shapeshifting etc. are hardest to cast and not for amateurs nor those who just got into magic, even so, basic spells like telekinesis or summoning of element (finding one's affinity makes this spell easier) requires unlocking of aura, practice and a gift for magic though this can make magic casting easier by unlocking their aura, unlocking someone's aura is also complicated and a spell not many can do. It is also states that those without a gift for magic can be killed if they are unable to control their aura flow on their own and according to Gretal has a one in one billion chance of appearing on a non-auroral species which is alarming for humans seeing has their population hasn't reached there yet though it may open chances that the Papilio piece was broken before the planet itself was destroyed, it may not be the ground or maybe a burnt up ship that flew too close to the sun...?

Discovery

The discovery is made by the first borns of the universe though it's not much discovery as it was handed to them on a silver platter. There are other ways of discovery however as magic is indescribable for the first borns, the rest had to figure it themselves.
In Papiliosidus, magic is discovered by their creator, Papilio who was a core, born of magic and gifted to them his knowledge.
In Proelia, magic is discovered when they expanded their invasion towards Papiliosidus, though they were unsuccessful for the first time, they didn't like magic very much and researching about them was banned though they had already learned a bit about magic.
On Earth, fairy magic was discovered when a stray remnant of Papiliosidus was dropped onto earth in 743 not only did it give birth to a bunch of colorful dragons, it gave Tempest, a 10 year old human the ability to give and use magic. He of course gave it to his parents being and that totally ended well, it led Tempest to travel around the world to try and figure out what he had found but learned that humans cannot be trusted with such power, he was at a lost, that is until in 755, his answers came to him in the form of three magical sisters.
