Aura

Aura is a manifestation of a living thing, everything has an aura whether they practice magic or not. Though those species with a system in their biology that helps them channel their auras even more effectively are Cores which went extinct but not before leaving behind their descendants, the Papilios which are now called fairies.
Though aura is connected to energy and magic, it is not the same thing nor are they entirely co-dependent.
Aura has a few properties: Color-Pattern-Movement-Output
Color and Pattern are usually constant only movement and output varies.

Movement and Output

It depends on the magic cast, most common area where auras output is the hands, feet and eyes or mind. Movement is more related to emotions but sometimes thoughts are also able to shift the movement of the aura.

Access & Availability

Depends on how magically advanced the civilisation are, some may not believe in it due to their inability to see it, some may not know it existed, some may have heard of it but won't make it a big deal, usually physical or technological driven civilisations.
It is however accessible to all living creatures. Depending on the height and weight are the amount of aura is in a species, averagely those with an Auroral system has more aura than others, around 1,000ℓ for fairies but those with similar build and no Auroral system like humans they usually have less than half the pool like around 400ℓ

Complexity

They are required certain eye types or biology to see aura, though if a magical type creature can open the eye of a non-magical type, it is possible for them to see aura.

Discovery

The term aura was at first called anima, it's a system the core developed after being created by the Immortal of Magic. Aura is the manifestation of a soul, which allows them to feel.
