Chandrill

Chandrill is the green and wild home to the Be'Teu Order . It has long remained under their control and their protection, yet only occupy about 1% of the planets surface, usually with temples and small towns dotted on the country side, within the mountains, under the seas, and resting on the mountain tops of the world. Often attempting to make as little impact on the natural environment as possible. The planet itself is not only protected by the Be'Teu but also by the planet's own form of self defense, an autonomous drone network that was developed long ago by the temples founders, presumably at the peak of human technological existence. It is still maintained by the order, and is activated in great need when the planet is ever threatened, which only happens very rarely.

Ecosystem and Geography

The Planet of Chandrill is estimated to be ten times larger than that of the planet known as Earth. It contains all the features of a continental terrestrial world. There are mountain ranges and there are deep oceans. However it exhibits a much more rainy atmosphere, with only half of the days in its solar year being sunny. The tectonic plates here are larger, and the mountains go higher, while the oceans reach deeper. This also means the flora and fauna itself is larger as well. The ecosystem, with the intense amount of rain that it receives, has grown into a lush biome of temperate rainforests. The species diversity is wide and varies from region to region.

Settlements

The few settlements that do exist on Chandrill are tucked away and work alongside nature, rather than against it. They are highly urbanized and only neutral tech is employed to not effect the local ecosystem. Great care is taken to make sure invasive species are culled, and balance is maintained on the planet. Most of these settlements that do exist are centered around a psionic node of some kind, tied to the first establishment of the planet as a psionic academy center long ago. These nodes allow free travel and easy communication between the settlements, but most are very self sufficient. Sustenance farms are lush and easy to maintain, meaning that great stores of food are easy to make, especially with the tech. Most settlements operate using the autonomous drone grids to do menial miniatous work, while most of the population lives off of sustenance farming. Each settlement is usually based around the Order temple in the area, and usually feed the temple as a small 1% tithe in return for protection and assistance from the order members.
