Rho

Rho is a graffiti artist who has largely remained out of trouble thanks to his knack for stealth and moderators who have more important matters to tend to. He decided to found Club Print on the advice of the Talespinners who aided him in writing and executing his Reiterative Will and now seeks out likeminded artists and activists to influence Soulbank toward a more egalitarian view of AIs.

Physical Description

Body Features

Rho's avatar is in the form of a painted dog, standing about 5'9". He has modified himself with fractal splotches that gradually shift over time, with the exception of the black Mandelbrot set over his heart. His fur is a combination of black, white, tan, and glowing purple. His avatar has a slightly lower than average polygon count to make rendering the fractals easier.

By spending 1 MEM, Rho can resist consequences from security systems or detection or push himself for a feat of stealth.

Apparel & Accessories

Rho tends to dress comfortably in an open front shirt to display his Mandelbrot heart and a purple sarouel. Usually he keeps a color scheme of blue-green and violet.

Playbook Equipment

• Encrypted Memory Knife: Rho's memory knife cannot be used by anyone else, producing a mocking hyena laugh with an "access denied" to anyone who attempts to use it. Its glowing green blade is capable of changing shape to match the job, and includes some paint tools. Its hilt is straight for paint functions and bends when the blade is generated.
• Holo Bomb: Rho dabbles in fractal holo sculpture and tinkers with holo bombs that produce artwork when they explode.
• Boosted Grapple Gear: Being able to get to high elevations is advantageous when his objective is visibility for his artwork. Manifests as a pair of free floating grapple launchers over his shoulder when deployed.

Other Equipment

• Paint Sprayer (2 MEM): A graffiti artist needs to be able to cover large surfaces quickly, and his paint sprayer allows him to quickly move a cursor over a wall.

Personal history

Rho's previous Iteration worked at Conway Productions, but felt heavily restricted by pandering to the status quo and the lowest common denominator. After leaving, he visted Fluorine Server to clear his head. There, he consulted with the Talespinners and chose to be reiterated without his business sense, devoting himself to art without limitation by market appeal. The result was the current Rho, dedicated to the revolutionary beatnik lifestyle.

Education

Rho retains his art schooling experience from Bismuth and a sense of theatrics. The Talespinners also gave him some Filcher software at his request.

Employment

Rho currently avoids conventional employment, preferring commissioned work and mutual support. He's not above stealing from the wealthy and privileged if he gets a chance. Though he thinks of himself as a graffiti artist first, he dabbles in avatar modding.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Rho had a number of custom experiences he was proud of working on at Conway Productions in his early days, though he doesn't like to look back on his earlier, tamer works.

Failures & Embarrassments

Rho had a few projects he left in an unfinished state where other Conway directors took over and corrupted his vision, particularly those that featured Daemon and Process protagonists who were relegated to sidekicks for a bland User protagonist.

Mental Trauma

Rho can rarely bring himself to work under individuals he doesn't choose or trust as a result of executive meddling at Conway. He doesn't like being pushed around for his own supposed good, especially when money is involved.

Morality & Philosophy

Rho is a strong believer in equality and his previous self left an iterative will to reinforce that. Though he has hedonistic tendencies, he wants everyone in Soulbank to have equal opportunity to enjoy life. He believes his art should carry a message, rather than simply being pleasing to look at.
