Ralian
Ralian is a great city of old days, the capital of the The Delian League and one of the most prosperous cities in Sotharia. Many people of many cultures come here, though the main portion of the population remains Delians. The city is the best place in the material plane to find information or desired items of the highest quality, with it's rich history of craftsmanship and mastery creating a desirable environment for professionals of the highest caliber.
Underneath the glamour however, Ralian is a dangerous political battleground between the noble families of the Delian League, vying for power over the Council and the entire empire. Almost everyone in the city is bought by one faction or another, and the city has started falling into disrepair because of it.

Government
The city of Ralian is ruled by Kali Fireheart directly, as she is the monarch and this city is her seat of power. Direct administrative rule however, is typically managed by the mayor, Doran Ollsbrook who is deeply loyal to Kali and the Fireheart family. Taxation is fair, tending to be lower than many other places in the Empire.
Defences
The city of Ralian is protected by a great wall, 25ft high and made of solid stone, reinforced and maintained diligently by the priests of Dianartis “The Wise One” that live in the city. A force of Royal guards, 200 strong, guards the palace and acts sometimes as police in the city, with a standing army of 1000 cavalry and archers defending the city's walls
Industry & Trade
The city of Ralian does not produce many raw resources, being a city of high quality manufacture of many luxury goods, including clothing, weapons, armor, accessories, magic items, and more. It imports all of the resources it needs to sustain this production from the rest of the empire, as well as the sea that is close to its northern edge.
Infrastructure
The city of Ralian is a marvel of engineering, a testament to what the Delian League once was in terms of inspiration and mastery. A function sewer and plumbing system connects to nearly every building in the city, brining fresh water from a spring underneath the palace to the city's inhabitants in their homes and taking away their waste. This system is mostly undergrounds, but in certain parts of the city one can see aqueducts and pipes that seem to defy gravity coming from the ground in a marvel of magitech engineering.
History
Ralian was founded by a group of mounted Legionares centuries ago, using their skills and discipline to stake their claim and make a home of their own. Over the years, Ralian evolved as the prosperity of the empire grew, becoming the marvel that it now is today.
