Mordeus “God of the dead”

Mordeus is the god of death, responsible for helping souls move on after they die and keeping them from being raised as undead. He is the god of the afterlife, and the judge of where people go after they die. His followers are seen rarely outside of funerals and deathbeds, unless there is an undead presence where they will be seen attacking and destroying it. He is not worshipped commonly as a patron deity, but he is respected and given a small shrine in most towns.

Mordeus is shown as an old man with greyiah skin and long black hair, usually holding a scepter with a skull on the top of it. He is often represented as a crow as well, in scenes of battle or strife circling above. His symbols include the crow, cross, and rocking chair, although the last is much less popular among people who only focus on the death part of his tenets.

Tenets of Faith

Destroy the Undead: Undead are abominations towards the natural cycle of the world. They must be eradicated, and their summoners destroyed.
Help the dying pass on: People in their final hours should be watched over and given all the compassion one can muster. If they have final wishes, do your best to accommodate them.
Ask nothing in return: Those whom you aid, either to remain alive or peacefully die, need not give anything in return. Accept charity if offered, but live in moderation most of all.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Mordeus wishes to end all undeath in the world. He uses the mortals who follow him to this end, sending them to clear out undead tombs and Lich’s towers.
