The Feychapel
The Feychapel is a derelict chapel dedicated to the Feywild and Fey creatures. In the Age of Dawn, it was used by elves to travel between the Material Plane and the Feywild. When humans became the dominant culture in Aduin during the Age of Tempering, the Feychapel in Thornfone fell into disuse and disrepair. The humans did not understand the Fey and were generally disliked by them, so, fearing conflict with the powerful creatures, the First Lord of Thornfone mandated that the Feychapel be sealed and guarded.
The Feychapel remains a portal to the Feywild, and its reflection in the other plane is magnificent. Reminiscent of elven architecture in Verdynna and Thalyma, the grand chapel within the Feywild is a marvel to behold. This chapel is overseen by the Fey-Lord Brunni, a powerful Eladrin who is bound to the chapel by powerful Feywild magic. Brunni delights in riddles and games of the mind, and on the rare occasion that humans slip into the Feywild through the chapel, they test them in challenges of wit.
Brunni will attempt to take humans' names when they first meet them -- this is the first of their tests. If they are able to take a name, its owner and all those who know them forget it, and the owner of the name is bound to Brunni's service as with the geas spell. They use these servants to discover lore about the material plane, which they are cursed never to be able to visit.
Brunni will then present the intruders with the Puzzle of the Feychapel. If they have the name of the trespasser, they can solve these challenges to win it back. If they are entertained sufficiently by the trespasser, or they succeed at their challenges, they will offer a small favour. For the party, they can reveal information about Fayennore Silvergrove via the legend lore spell.
When Brunni tires of an intruder, he will attempt to make them return to the Material Plane by reopening the portal and commanding them to leave. If they refuse, Brunni can use Mass Suggestion or Banishment to force them to leave.
