The Concord
The Concord is the official name of the Adventurers' Guild of Erhod. This guild offers its members contracts, allowing those who live the wayfaring life to earn some coin for their adventures. These contracts come in many forms, from delivering missives to other Erhodian cities, to tracking down missing persons, to exploring ancient Dwarven ruins.
The Concord has outposts in all Erhodian cities, as well as many major cities across Aduin. They also have some outposts on other continents, but they are far fewer in number than those in Aduin.
The guild allows its members to work alone or in small teams, depending on the nature of each contract. Its senior members are granted authority over the newer recruits, following a hierarchical structure. Its newest members are referred to as Treadpaths. Team leaders are called Pathfinders, taking their orders from Wayfarers. Wayfarers serve as the head of an Outpost, reporting to Surveyors in Erhod. These Surveyors are higher in the chain of command than Wayfarers, and when a Surveyor is present at an Outpost, they are considered to be in charge. Surveyors report directly to the Fieldmaster in Erhod, and as such spend most of their time in Erhod at the most populated Outposts. Surveyors commonly use Outriders to convey messages between Concord members and Outposts. Currently the head of the Concord is Fieldmaster Helmut, a Dragonborn exiled from the Traditionalists of the Klis Mountains.
Members of the Concord are offered lodging and meals at any outpost, allowing them to make long journeys without having to worry about finding shelter every night. Each outpost is operated by a Wayfarer, with the Concord Guildhall in Eaglemount run by the Fieldmaster.
To join the Concord, one must register at an Outpost (Name, age, race, special skills) and pay the initiation fee of 10gp. Upon registration applicants are given a provisional Questing License. With a provisional license adventurers are able to accept Tier 1 Contracts -- these are simple contracts that are relatively low-risk and on a short timeline. Upon completion of three Tier 1 Contracts, the adventurer is granted the rank of Treadpath and may accept contracts of any tier.
Each contract rewards the listed pay on the contract as well as a number of Marks determined by the tier of the contract. Every guild member must accrue 25 Marks each month in order to remain in good standing with the guild. Below is the table showing how many Marks each contract rewards:
Tier 1: 5 Marks
Tier 2: 10 Marks
Tier 3: 15 Marks
Tier 4: 20 Marks
Tier 5: 25 Marks
Tier 6: 30 Marks
Tier 7: 35 Marks
Tier 8: 40 Marks
Tier 9: 45 Marks
Tier X: 50 Marks
To advance through the ranks of the guild, members must meet Mark milestones and years of service requirements as listed below:
