Kane Faircrest
The heir apparent to a noble Dellwindian family, Kane Faircrest embodies all that is expected and stereotypical of a Daris Ridge noble. He is poised, clean, charming to a fault, and extremely pompous to those he considers beneath him. A true socialite, Kane throws lavish balls and parties for his friends and soon-to-be partners. By indulging those close with him in gifts, wine, and promises, Kane has woven a wide yet flimsy network of nobles and affluent members of other communities who are ready to back him.
The raving and turbulent lifestyle of Mr. Faircrest and his wife, Daisy, are all in an effort to garner favor for a potential Meister position. Mr. Faircrest wants to become Meister of Daris Ridge to restore his family's dwindling name and honor. Multiple donations, parties, and most recently the Faircrest Play Series at Faircrest Theatre have all been ways of gaining influence, and his prospects look good.
Being the descendent of a spellcrafter, experimentation and risk are in Kane's genes. Kane and his wife have both tampered with darker forces of the cosmos. Yet, with growing desperation to gain votes and favor, Kane has been taking more risks and going to more extremes.
His latest foray into the universal evils have included hiring on the morally gray adventuring team Malign Evelance as bodyguards, using imps as spies within his household, and summoning cambions to be his alluring performers at the Faircrest Theatre.
Kane's growing megalomania has yet to reach a fever pitch. Yet, as situations around him grow more tense, it is only a matter of time before something gives.
