Queen Peria (Karnian Royal Family/Deceased)

The future Queen Peria had little idea how much her life would change when a brash young swordsman burst into her master's library, demanding some obscure piece of lore for his quest. Adventures ensued and she soon found herself adventuring with the bold Alfin and his companions. Combining years of tutelage under a master sage with the sharpening experience of adventure, Peria became a master at applying theoretical knowledge to the imminently practical problems of the world. Not just showing mastery over arcane magicks but often saving herself and her friends through superior knowledge and insight. It is likely her good influence, perhaps moreso than any of Alfin's companions, that helped him grow into a wise and worthy king. Her words of advice and occasional fireball, cleared many an obstacle from the young king's path. As Queen of Karnes, Peria helped usher in a renaissance in the magic arts. Under her patronage, domestic and foreign spellcasters of immense skill trained Karnian adepts, creating a robust new generation of magic users. Before the Morin Coup it had even become tradition for these students to express their gratitude through a stint of service with one of the Royal Karnian institutions, usually the Queensguard or the Karnian Adventurer's Guild.
