Phaneros (Ossia)

Phaneros is also known as the "Maker Kingdom", a small but unusually influential country known for its advanced development of Magi-Technology. Phaneros encompasses much of the territory of Vale Terra, whose industry both fuels and relies on the technical expertise of the nation. Though there are careful restrictions on the export of advanced technologies and technological knowledge, Phaneros has grown rich on the trade of lesser technologies and expensive luxury services like Airship use.
To protect their technological wealth, Phaneros has cultivated an incredible hybrid warrior class, combining technological prowess with equal measures of violent skill and advanced assualt tactics. The most elite of these forces, the Phaneran Commandos, are the ultimate hunters and defenders of Phaneros, eliminating both foes abroad and at home.
The government of Phaneros is largely technocratic, with leadership distributed amongst the leaders in the various trades and industries according to their personal and collective talents and innovations. This concentration of power among a class prone to absent-mindedness and technical obsession gives the kingdom and its apparatuses the general air of well-meaning but unworldly genius. Phanerans believe that ultimately technology will be able to solve all of the world's ills and thus far it has done an exceptional job doing so in their own kingdom.
