Faery

The Realm of Faery is the closest of The Outer Dimensions to Soma. While The Heavenly Realms, The Abyssal Realms and even the Elemental Planes are quite difficult to enter by living mortals, Faery exists in a state of near overlap with Soma. Across the various lands and biomes of Soma are Thin Places, natural confluences formed by the celestial alignment of the worlds. 
There is no map to Faery and geographic distance is largely meaningless. Locations and entities within Faery exist in a state of symbolic flux with one another. A particularly cold location in Faery will be quite far from a particularly hot location and a Faery with a nature of cold will have to exert increasingly greater amounts of effort to draw close to such a polar opposite concept. Even this is perhaps too straight forward of an explanation for the baffling mechanics of Faery where travel by metaphor and simile is not only possible but optimal transit.
The residents of Faery, The Fey, are scattered across its various sub-regions and Fey residents rarely pass far from their symbolic niche. The largest divison of the realms comes from the ongoing divide between The Seelie Court and The Unseelie Court. These symbol-boundaries are fiercely militarized and in a continual state of light skirmish and changing patterns of control.
In Faery most physical laws exist in a general sense but are often abridged, altered or replaced entirely depending on the nature of the particular region one is examining. Customs and traditions can also function with the weight of physical law in certain areas and Fey are incredibly attuned to these shifting forces. Fey bargains are iron clad within the letter of their composition and certain traditions like hospitality and truthfulness exert incredible power over the Fey and the Faery realm.
