The Shielded Hearth

The Shielded Hearth is a walled plane, surrounded by 50-foot walls that are patrolled continuously by the Hearthguard. It is always a comfortable afternoon, just before dusk in this plane.
Within the walls are expansive fields with hearth fires dotting the roads, occupied by the Children of Petyr who have died in service on their way home. They get the choice to remain as a Hearthguard or to go on to the afterlife. In these fields, you can also see Tristinia training the Hearthguard on horseback drills, ever ready to defend.
All roads lead to the massive village at the center of the plane. It smells of fresh bread and feels to each visitor how their home feels to them. The central building is a stone home, with an often open door, the sound of humming echoing from it.
Within, Alorna is often rocking by the fire in a carved chair, humming as she consoles some lost soul before they leave for the afterlife. Alexius - The Hound of the Shield, will lay by her feet or sleep on the rug before the fire, never far from her.
Petyr Valiantheart can be found here, or in the village, speaking with the faithful and sharing tales around a fire. Many times other divines can be seen by his fire, enjoying the community and humanity he offers in his fireside chats.
Priam - The First Son, rides along the planar bridge and back, delivering messages and gifts from both Divines and Mortals.
